Character Notes
History: Little is known about Starscream's past before he came to Earth as part of Megatron's elite troops apart from the fact that he swore some kind of oath to Megatron. After choosing a jet as his alternate mode, he happily joined in the hunt for mini-cons in the hopes of getting his own, only to denied the honour over and over again either by losing the race to the Autobots or by Megatron himself until he took matters into his own hands, gaining the mini-con Swindle as his partner.
It was at a later date he found out that Megatron was quite happy to let the Autobots destroy him, a conversation that he wasn't meant to hear, and this pushed him over the edge for a moment or two. Losing his temper, he attacked his leader before fleeing to Earth on coming to his senses when he would be taken into the fold by the Autobots until getting manipulated into returning to the Decepticons to overthrow Megatron from within, leading to both factions returning to Cybertron. During this space-race, he was one of a few TFs to be reformatted by the mini-cons after a battle against an evil clone of Optimus Prime.
Upon his arrival home, Starscream learnt he had been used and this would lead him on a series of events that meant he renewed a slight friendship with the young human Alexis and one he had started during his brief time as an Autobot ally, leading him to make the choice of trying to make Galvatron (what Megatron re-named himself after getting reformatted) see that there was a bigger threat (Unicron) to worry about, something the Autobots and Decepticons needed to unite to combat, this would cost Starscream his life.
Personality: Unlike other versions of the character, Starscream is a fierce and skilled warrior, not afraid to leap into battle, and doesn't seem much of a schemer either. He does seek power, but originally it was only to gain the respect of a commander who treats him worse than dirt, something that infuriates him. Due to these elements, any compassion, honour and sense of friendship the jet once had was more or less crushed by Megatron's constant abuse. Starscream is also prone to slip into emo-like moods, when one of these kicks in, he becomes grumpy, anti-social and self-pitying, demanding to be left alone and not wanting any sympathy from others.
Other: I'm going to be using the Armada cartoon as I never read the comics and will be starting from the beginning of the show for this guy.

First Person (entry type)
[Voice Post]
Short silence follows the sound of a mic being switched on, followed by a constant beeping noise *pause* more beeping and it sounds like someone is trying to talk in this manner.
[sound of an automatic door opening and closing suddenly heard in background, beeping stops]
What in the Pit? Swindle, what are you doing on my personal console? Move over and let me see.
Drama. Drama. Duck? What is this, some kind of multi-dimensional nexus or something? And the scanners saying this place has traces of other Cybertronian life-readings, yet they don't seem to be anyone familiar, and there are no traces of mini-cons either.
Let's see, a community on an journal thing, this is hardly worth my time. I don't need people like them, I don't need anyone.
[faint beeping]
Fine, I guess. If it makes you happy, I'll see what this DDD place is about, but don't expect me to stay.
Greetings to you all, I guess. I am Starscream and this is my mini-con partner, Swindle [happy beeping]. What are your designations and functions?
Third Person: Tap. Tap. Tap.
The muted sound of metal hitting rock broke the silence as he tapped the tip of his sword against the surface of the moon. He had to come out here to think, to brood over events in the latest battle against the Autobots as he replayed a part of the battle that had caught his attention.
"Sideswipe's down and in trouble, Optimus"
"Hot Shot, cover me. I'll get him"
The Autobots had refused to abandon each other while his leader had nearly left him behind....again. How much longer could he endure being treated like little more than a mindless, second-rate drone. Could he gain the respect that Megatron failed to give him if he switched sides? The jet snarled as if angry with himself for that train of thought, he was a Decepticon warrior, it was in his programming, there was no way he could become an Autobot, was there?
He picked them up on his scanners before he actually saw them, but they were still approaching him and he turned to face them, Swindle and the three mini-cons who merged to make the Star Saber, their optics expressing their concern for him, something that they couldn't express vocally.
His face twisted into a grimace as he turned away from them, he didn't need their pity, their sympathy, he didn't want it and he took to tapping his sword against the moon's surface again until he could no longer ignore the fact they were still there and their clear reluctance to leave until....
"Go away, just leave me alone"
